Biography:

2007 Season

Anderson enters into his third season in the NFL as one of three players competing for the starting quarterback job for the Browns. He got a chance to start in 2006, and surprised most observers by making a positive impact with quick reads and a fast release. Anderson enters the 2007 season with a legitimate chance to establish himself as the team's starter.

2006 Season

Anderson won the backup QB role in training camp behind Charlie Frye and did not appear until game 6 against Denver where he replaced Frye for one play, but did not attempt a pass. Appeared again in game 12 against the Kansas City Chiefs replacing an injured Charlie Frye. He then started the next 3 games, but was injured against Tampa Bay. He completed 66 passes on 117 attempts while throwing for 793 yards. He threw for 5 touchdowns and 8 interceptions for a 63.1 passer rating.

Biography

Drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the sixth round of the 2005 draft, but was claimed of waivers by the Cleveland Browns on September 20.

Anderson was a three-year starter for Oregon State. He holds 20 of the top 50 passing marks (281 yards or more) in OSU history. In 2002 he became the only player in Pac-10 history to pass for over 4,000 yards in a season, and only Andrew Walther of Arizona State has thrown for more than Anderson's 79 career touchdowns in the Pac-10.

He attended Scappoose (Ore.) High School where he was the 3A player of the year in football and basketball being the first to do it in the same season. Lead Scappoose to an Oregon state football title his senior year. He was selected as the top QB in the state and the second overall in the country by Super Prep Magazine following his senior year.
