| Jets should stand clear of dynamic duo

Rumors abound that Giants defensive coordinator wants to bring Philadelphia personnel guy Tom Heckert with him wherever he lands a head coaching job. He wants Heckert to be his GM. The Jets should avoid this scenario. Heckert isn't any better a GM than Mike Tannenbaum, and Spagnuolo isn't the type of candidate you need to jump through hoops for. Heckert's drafts in Philly have been average. So many reporters from the New York area have a love affair with Spagnuolo (because he's nice to them and he's a good coach), but he's not a good fit for the Jets.
