The New York Jets have signed WR Danny Woodhead to the active roster from the practice squad and have released DT Howard Green.

Woodhead (5-9/195/Chadron State/North Platte, NE), was signed to the practice squad on Sept. 8, 2009 after being waived Sept. 6. He originally signed with the Jets on May 2, 2008 as an undrafted free agent and spent the 2008 season on injured reserve. He led the Jets in the 2009 preseason with 226 yards rushing, including 158 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries in the preseason finale against Philadelphia, Sept. 3.
