The free event promoted pride, unity and peace in the lives of the Riviera Beach residents. Elam, who has lost three of his siblings to murder in the streets of his hometown, wanted to ignite a flame within each and everyone.
“It was a great success. I really appreciate everyone coming out and showing their support,” said Elam. “My goal in this event was to continue to promote positive things and to better our community and environment.”
The day was filled with live music, food, activities for all ages and giveaways. Each participant received a backpack, a T.E.A.M. Elam t-shirt, a free coupon from Chick-fil-A and the chance to win an Abram Elam autographed football.
NFL stars from around the league including Anquan Boldin (Arizona Cardinals), Usama Young (New Orleans Saints), Brandon Flowers (Kansas City Chiefs), Jack Williams (Denver Broncos), DaJuan Morgan (Kansas City Chiefs), David Clowney (New York Jets), C.J. Mosley (Cleveland Browns), Alphonso Smith (Denver Broncos), Hank Poteat (Cleveland Browns), Ahmad Carroll (New York Jets), Drew Coleman (New York Jets), Emmanuel Cook (New York Jets) and Kareem Brown (New York Jets), lent their support and spent the day interacting with fans, including more than an hour of signing autographs for all in attendance.
The day concluded with a brief dance off between Elam, the Jets' Clowney and Kansas City’s Morgan. Fans will have to follow each player this upcoming season to see their best moves.
