Elam trying to stop the senseless violence

Cleveland Browns safety Abram Elam will host his second annual T.E.A.M. (Together Everyone Achieves More) with Elam "A Day in the Park," on Saturday, June 20, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Dan Calloway Amphitheater, 1420 West 10th Street, behind Tate's Gym in Riviera Beach.

The free event will offer an atmosphere to help end the violence and promote pride, unity and peace in the lives of children and families in the South Florida community.

"I have lost three siblings to murder in the streets of Riviera Beach," said Elam. "I believe by showing that I can persevere through adversity and tragedy, maybe I am able to spark a sense of hope in the lives of the children of this community to never give up on their dreams."

The day will be filled with food, giveaways, live music and activities for all ages. Guests will have an opportunity to interact with Elam and his NFL friends.
