Myers takes shot at Woody

In Tuesday's Daily News, Gary Myers went down the Bill Cowher road again.

"When the Jets reached out to Bill Cowher's agent last Tuesday to express their interest in the former Steelers coach to replace Eric Mangini, they told the Cowher camp that Woody Johnson was out of the country and not available." wrote Myers. "Cowher, who was willing to discuss the job with the Jets only if Johnson was present, then had his agent call back the Jets and withdraw his name from consideration."

WHY IS THE COWHER CAMP ALLOWING THIS BULL#$@% TO CONTINUE? HE TOLD FRIENDS HE WASN'T COACHING IN 2009, SO WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE IF WOODY WAS IN THE COUNTRY LAST WEEK OR NOT? COWHER TOLD THE OWNERS OF KANSAS CITY AND CLEVELAND HE WASN'T INTERESTED IN THEIR JOBS. WHY DO REPORTERS CONTINUE TO SLAM THE JETS OVER A MOOT POINT?
