Jets coach Eric Mangini continues to praise the work of rookie outside linebacker Vernon Gholston. The coach liked what he saw from the Ohio State prospect against Tennessee.

"I thought this was probably his best game, defensively," said Mangini. "He did a good job on special teams again. (It was) his best game defensively in terms of what we're asking him to do with setting the edge, being stout against the run and the things that he did with the passrush. He didn't get an overwhelming amount of opportunities, but the opportunities that he did get I thought he did a good job with."
