After eight weeks of the season, the Jets run defense is ranked fourth in the NFL.

The additions of Calvin Pace and Kris Jenkins have certainly helped the Jets improve their run defense ranking signicantly from last year.

Their pass defense on other hand needs to get better. They are ranked 24th, with opposing tight ends contributing a great deal to this number.

For all those people questioning the Jets balance on offense, the numbers say otherwise. The Jets are the 14th ranked pass offense and are 15th overall running the football. Similar numbers like that point to pretty good balance.
