Buffalo's top pass rusher iffy for Jets game

Bills DE Aaron Schobel might not play on Sunday

The Buffalo Bills pass rush was been substandard the last three games amassing just three sacks. Not helping matters is the foot injury to DE Aaron Schobel.

Schobel's left foot has been in a walking boot the last two weeks to protect a strained ligament. The boot finally came on Wednesday.

“It’s better, I just don’t know how much better or how much longer it’s going to take,” said Schobel. “Hopefully it will be better by this week, but we’ll see.”

If Schobel can't play against the Jets, he would be replaced by Ryan Denney, a good run defender, who isn't much of a threat as a pass rusher.

Schobel can't wait to get back.

“It’s annoying,” said Schobel. “I haven’t missed a game until this point. I haven’t missed since high school, freshman year. It’s hard to deal with stuff like this, but it’s part of this game.”

For the Jets sake, they probably hope he needs another week to heal. Jets QB Brett Favre has taken way too many hits the last few weeks.
