It seems that way.
First off all, Hodges is very inexperienced.
Secondly, he's going to have to hold for field goals, so that adds a whole new question mark to an already struggling kicking game.
And thirdly, his practice kicking has been inconsistent.
While Hodges has a tremendous leg, and perhaps a bigger upside than Ben Graham, the Jets are certainly rolling the dice giving him the job at this juncture.
