Jets safety Abram Elam called Anquan Boldin's mother last night to see how the injured Cardinal's receiver is doing.

Elam and Boldin were childhood friends in the West Palm Beach area.

"I talked to his mom and she said he was released from the hospital last night and flew back with the owner," said Elam.

Boldin was knocked out late in the Jets-Cards game on Sunday after a big hit from Jets safety Eric Smith. He was taken off the field on a stretcher.

And as for Smith, he said he doesn't remember the play, and the first thing he does remember from Sunday was being back in the locker room after the game. Smith clearly suffered a concussion though Eric Mangini wouldn't admit that on Monday.
