Jets sign punter Waylon Prather to PC
Tannenbaum adds punter insurance on practice squad

The Jets have signed punter Waylon Prather to the practice squad. The announcement was made by Mike Tannenbaum.
Prather (6-3, 225/San Jose State/Santa Cruz, CA) signed as an undrafted free agent with the Saints on May 5, 2008 and was waived Aug. 25. In the 2008 preseason, he recorded three punts for a total of 159 yards, an average of 53.0 yards. He punted for four seasons at San Jose State, averaging 40.0 yards per punt on 235 punts in 46 games.
