Stratomatic Mike makes a bunch of moves

Posted Sep 10, 2008

With Mike Tannenbaum, the personnel merry-go-round never stops, even on the practice squad, where players are supposed to given time to develop.

The Jets released guard Stanley Daniels and wide receiver Larry Brackins from the taxi squad, and signed tight end Brad Listorti and offensive tackle Stephan Rogers to the the same squad.

Why? Let that darn practice squad develop for a while.

These are human beings, not pieces on a board game.

The Jets also released linebacker Kenwin Cummings to make room for kicker Jay Feely. Cummings outplayed 2008 first round pick Vernon Gholston this summer.

Why not just put Nugent on IR with his leg injury? Feely made 21 of 23 field goals last year for Miami. So why on earth keep a roster spot for Nugent, who isn't better than Feely?
