Jets trying out kickers

With kicker Mike Nugent ailing with what looks like a pulled hamstring, the Jets are auditioning kickers.

Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that the Jets have worked out three free-agent kickers: Jay Feely, Dave Rayner, and Aaron Elling.

Feeley made 21 of 23 kicks for Miami last year, and kicked for the Giants in the Meadowlands for several years, so he would seem like the best choice.

But Eric Mangini doesn't like quotable players, and Feeley is very quotable.
