Clowney has broken collar bone

Posted Aug 19, 2008

The Jets best deep threat is going to be on the shelf for a while.

"Promising WR David Clowney, one of the most improved players in training camp, suffered a broken collarbone in Saturday night’s loss to the Redskins," wrote Rich Cimini in the New York Daily News.

This hurts the Jets because Clowney has great speed, and is the best candidate to run under Favre's downfield rockets.
