The Jets have signed OT Thad Coleman to take the roster spot of LB Brad Kassell who was put on IR.

Coleman (6-8, 308) is a rookie free agent out of Mississippi Valley State, who signed with Arizona after the draft, but was recently released.

Here is what his college position coach had to say about the Chicago-native -

"He is a great student of the game, a very hard worker and whatever he puts his mind to he is going to dedicate himself to accomplish that goal," said Riley Murray. "He is a real good pass blocker, a good run blocker, but if I had to pick out one thing I would have to say that he needs to improve his footwork."

He has solid character according to his coach.

"He is a great kid," said Murray. "He has never had any problems with the law or anything. Thaddeus is a good church going guy, he works with the kids in the community."

Thad is the son of former NFL linebacker Mike Coleman.
