Pennington has a short list

Posted Aug 7, 2008

According to John Murphy of New Level Scouting, Pennington has given the Jets a short list of teams he would like to be traded to.

"Chad Pennington will not play in Thursday night's pre-season opener against the Cleveland Browns," according to Murphy. "Furthermore, according to a source close to the situation, the former starting quarterback for the Jets has been promised by the team's front office that he will either be traded or released by the end of the business day tomorrow, which is 5pm eastern time. The source also explained that Pennington and his representatives were told the team will try to accommodate his request to be traded to a certain short-list of teams, which was not immediately made available."
