Jets sign Kinlaw and Lyles

The New York Jets have signed free agent RB Rodney Kinlaw. The announcement was made by Jets General Manager Mike Tannenbaum.

Kinlaw (5-9, 210/Penn State/Goose Creek, S.C.), an undrafted free agent from Penn State, compiled 1,655 yards and 12 touchdowns on 323 carries in 45 career games. He posted 1,329 yards and 10 touchdowns in 243 carries his senior season in 2007, averaging 5.5 yards per carry as he put up the ninth-best single-season rushing total in Penn State history.

Also the Jets brought back Virginia safety Nate Lyles who was waived earlier in the camp.
