The New York Jets have signed QB Erik Ainge, the team's fifth-round pick in the 2008 NFL Draft and free agent OL Kyle DeVan.

The New York Jets have signed QB Erik Ainge, the team's fifth-round pick in the 2008 NFL Draft and free agent OL Kyle DeVan.

Erik Ainge (6-5/221/Tennessee/Hillsboro, OR), the 162nd overall pick, played in 46 games with 35 starts for Tennesse, ranking third in history in pass completions (516), pass attempts (854) and touchdown passes (51). He also ranks fourth in school annals with 6,308 passing yards and third with 6,107 yards of total offense. He completed 733-of-1210 passes (60.6 percent) for 8,700 yards, 72 touchdowns and 35 interceptions in four seasons.

Kyle DeVan (6-2/306/Oregon State/Vacaville, CA), was originally signed as an undrafted free agent on May 1 with the Washington Redskins. He appeared in 50 career games with 38 consecutive starts for the Beavers. In 2007, DeVan started in all 13 contests as a senior and helped the Beavers average 371.6 yards per game and allow only three quarterback sacks and five quarterback hurries on 438 pass plays. DeVan earned Pac-10 honorable mention in 2005 and 2007.
