Jets sign RB Musa Smith

The New York Jets signed free agent RB Musa Smith. The announcement was made by Jets General Manager Mike Tannenbaum.

Smith (6-0, 232, Georgia/Elliottsburg, PA) played in 49 games over five years with the Baltimore Ravens, rushing for 496 yards and four touchdowns on 132 carries while catching 27 passes for 363 yards. He’s also returned six kicks for a 22.2 average. He set career highs in 2007 with 264 yards rushing (75 carries, two touchdowns) and 192 yards receiving on 27 receptions. He was a third round pick for the Ravens (77th overall) in the 2003 NFL Draft.
