 Boland, like Mangini, has Cleveland roots

According to a source close to Newsday, there is a change in the offing on the Jets beat. | |||

The current Jets beat writer, Tom Rock, is being moved to the Giants beat. And replacing Rock on the Jets beat, will be regular fill-in Erik Boland. The current Giants beat writer, Arthur Staple, is being moved to a yet-to-be-determined beat, perhaps St. John's men's basketball. Boland is a native of Cleveland who attended John Carroll University, the school that gave us Don Shula. Prior to joining Newsday, he worked for the Warren Tribune in Ohio.
