The New York Jets have signed the following players to reserve/future contracts: RB Alvin Banks, S Darnell Bing, WR David Clowney, CB Manny Collins, OL Stanley Daniels, OL Wayne Hunter, DT Thomas Johnson, LB Jerry Mackey, QB Brett Ratliff, WR Shaine Smith and WR Marco Thomas.
Banks, Collins, Hunter, Mackey, Ratliff, Smith and Thomas were on the practice squad at the conclusion of the regular season. Clowney finished the season on the Injured Reserve/Practice Squad.

Bing (6-2, 230, USC) was selected by the Oakland Raiders in the fourth round (101st overall) of the 2006 NFL Draft and spent the entire 2006 season on Injured Reserve. He was waived by the Raiders on July 25 and claimed by the San Francisco 49ers July 26. He spent the entire 2007 season on the 49ers practice squad. In 37 career collegiate games (35 starts), he recorded 182 tackles (120 solos), one sack and eight interceptions. He was an All-American first-team selection by the Associated Press as a senior.
Daniels (6-4, 320, Washington) was originally signed by the Jets as an undrafted rookie free agent on Aug. 13 and waived Aug. 16. He played four seasons on the offensive line at the University of Washington, starting 24 of 36 games. The San Diego, CA native is a nephew of Ray May, who was an NFL linebacker for nine seasons (1967-1975) with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Colts and Denver Broncos.
Johnson (6-2, 298, Middle Tennessee State) has played in 13 NFL games (three starts) over two seasons with the Dallas Cowboys (2005) and Houston Texans (2006), recording 15 tackles with five solos. He was waived by the Texans on Aug. 28. He was originally signed by the Dallas Cowboys, April 28, 2005, as an undrafted rookie free agent.
