History repeating itself? Jets lose Ware.

Posted Dec 5, 2007

A few years ago, the Giants stole RB Derrick Ward off the Jets practice squad, and he has turned into a terrific player. It looks like history just repeated itself.

On Tuesday, the Giants signed RB Danny Ware off the Jets practice squad. This could be history repeating inself.

Ware was one of the stars of Jets camp last summer. He's a big, strong, fast back who looks like he he has starting potential in the NFL.

Ironically the Giants signed Ware to replace Ward, who was put on injured reserve on Tuesday.

It's surprising the Jets didn't move some players around to make room for Ware, who looks like a special talent.

Who has more of an upside DE Eric Hicks, OLB Matt Chatham or Ware?

Why to release a journeyman veteran to keep around a promising rookie? The Jets could rue the day they let Ware get away.

The fact that Jets didn't promote Ware to prevent this move is shocking.
