At his Wednesday press conference, Jets coach Eric Mangini was asked by JC why Bryan Thomas has had such a hard time getting to the quarterback this year. Here is his response:

"Looking at his production, actually it's pretty close in terms of sacks at this point in the year (last season)," said Mangini. "He kind of came on late (last year). He did have the majority of that production a little bit later in the season last year."

Thomas finished last season with 8.5 sacks. He has 1.5 sacks this year.

So it will be interesting to see if Thomas picks up his game over the second half of the season.
