The Jets off-season free agent additions have helped them enter the draft with no glaring weaknesses.

"We are going into this draft with no particular needs," said scouting director Joey Clinkscales.

Will the team consider trading linebacker Jonathan Vilma for draft picks? He doesn't seem to fit their 3-4 defense that well.

"I don't think we have any player who is untouchable," said GM Mike Tannenbaum.

Nebraska defensive end Adam Carriker is on the Jets radar at pick 25.

"He's a great character guy," said Clinkscale. "He would fit what we do."

Tannenbaum said that the team's signing of free agent defensive ends Michael Haynes and Kenyon Coleman would no sway them from picking a defensive end in the first round.

The Jets are big on character. So what do they think of the players who participated in the UM-FIU brawl, and will that be held against them?

"It's something you have to consider," said Clinkscales.
