Jets Unload 100 Turkeys At Soup Kitchen And Serve Meal To 300 New Yorkers In Need.

To help 'tackle' hunger this holiday season, the New York Jets will "team" with Food Bank For New York City to deliver and unload 100 turkeys plus fixings and serve a holiday dinner to 300 New Yorkers in need on Tuesday, November 21, beginning at 11:30 a.m. at Neighbors Together Soup Kitchen, 2094 Fulton Street (corner of Thomas Boyland ) Brownsville Section of Brooklyn, as part of Thanksgiving for Five - a borough-wide campaign to distribute more than 10,000 turkeys to community food programs including food pantries and soup kitchens serving New Yorkers in need this Thanksgiving season. According to the recent census report, 1.7 million people live below the poverty level in New York City. The Food Bank estimates that 1.2 million New Yorkers are turning to emergency food programs for assistance.

New York Jets scheduled players include: Andre Dyson, Tim Wright, Matt Chatham, Brad Kassell, Chris Baker, James Hodgins, Cody Spencer and more.
