Jets sign cornerback/kick returner Justin Miller

The New York Jets signed of one of their 2005 second-round draft selections cornerback/kick returner Justin Miller, taken 57th overall.

Justin Miller, a 5-10, 202 pound cornerback/kick returner from Clemson, finished his collegiate career with 169 tackles (134 solos), a sack and three forced fumbles along with 1,534 yards on 50 kickoff returns.

His thirteen interceptions during his three collegiate seasons place him third in Clemson history. He also ranks fourth in Clemson history in career pass deflections with 44 and leads the school in kick returns for touchdowns (five), and kickoff return average, 30.7. His 30.7 career average is the best in ACC history and the fourth-best in NCAA history.

Miller is expected to begin the year as the team's primary kick returner and will be in the mix at cornerback. Recommended Stories
