With Tampa Bay the front runner in the Darrelle Revis sweepstakes, the 2013 home opener could have some extra sizzle. Jets fans are accustomed to Revis Island creating headaches for opposing quarterbacks, but No. 24 could potentially send Marty Mornhinweg’s offense in a tailspin if the Jets and Bucs complete a blockbuster swap.

Week 2: Jets at Patriots
The last time these two AFC squads clashed, the Jets were humiliated in front of their home crowd on Thanksgiving Night. Mark Sanchez’s butt fumble made blooper reels across the country and brought into question his future as a starting quarterback in the NFL. Gang Green will likely be out-matched in this early-season divisional matchup.

Week 3: Jets vs Bills
Before dropping the season finale in Buffalo last season, the Jets had won the prior six meetings between these two teams. The Bills parted ways with quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and signed Kevin Kolb to potentially run the show in Upstate New York. Both the Bills and Jets are in a state of flux with regards to their quarterback situation.
Prediction: Jets 24 Bills 20
Week 4: Jets at Titans
Gang Green tangles with a former fan favorite in the Music City as running back Shonn Greene will take on his ex-teammates. The Titans two-headed monster of Chris Johnson and Greene is arguably the NFL’s most potent backfield, but signal-caller Jake Locker inconsistent play could prove to be Tennessee’s downfall.
Prediction: Jets 17 Titans 14
Week 5: Jets at Falcons
Rex Ryan and company play their only Monday Night Football contest of the year against one of the NFC’s premier teams in Atlanta Falcons. In the end it will be too much Matt Ryan, Tony Gonzalez, Roddy White, Julio Jones and Steven Jackson for the Green and White to handle.
Prediction: Jets 13 Falcons 42
Week 6: Steelers at Jets
In a rematch of the 2011 AFC Championship game, the Jets will look to exact revenge on a Steelers’ team that slammed on the door on New York’s Super Bowl hopes. Once AFC powerhouses, the Jets and Steelers missed the playoffs last season with the needle pointing in the wrong direction. Pittsburgh invades the Big Apple and grinds out a hard-fought victory.

Week 7: Jets vs. Patriots
New York will look to end a five-game losing streak to New England, but Tom Brady’s offensive firepower will carry the day as New England wins in the Big Apple

Week 8: Jets at Bengals
Ryan’s postseason glory days began in Cincinnati as the Jets embarked on the first of their two consecutive runs to AFC title games in 2009 and 2010. While New York finished on the outside of postseason contention looking in the past two years, the Bengals have clinched consecutive playoff berths and look to take the next step with young signal-caller Andy Dalton. The Jets put on a virtuoso defensive performance and snap a three-game losing skid.

Week 9: Jets vs Saints
Drew Brees and company bring the NFL’s greatest show on turf to MetLife Stadium before the Jets enter their bye week. Gang Green limps into the off week after a thrashing by New Orleans; rounding out a difficult first half schedule
Week 10: BYE WEEK
Week 11: Jets at Bills
The Jets regroup and earn a much-needed divisional win to open the second half of the regular season. Gang Green rides a steady running game and stingy defense to a narrow victory.
Prediction: Jets 17 Bills 10
Week 12: Jets at Ravens
The defending Super Bowl champs welcome the Jets to the purple terror dome in Baltimore, which has been a house of horrors for New York. Terrell Suggs terrorizes the Jets’ offensive front and Joe Flacco dazzles as the Ravens dominate Gang Green.
Prediction: Jets 10 Ravens 34
Week 13: Jets vs Dolphins
They have to wait until December but New York and Miami renew the long-standing rivalry that has been ruled by the Dolphins the past couple of seasons. The departure of running back Reggie Bush hurt Miami’s offense’s weaponry and the Jets squeak by in an overtime thriller.
Prediction: Jets 27 Dolphins 24 OT
Week 14: Jets at Raiders
Visions of the Heidi-Game still linger in the minds of many Jets’ fans as this old-time football rivals meet on the East Coast. With Carson Palmer getting traded from Oakland to Arizona, the Raiders’ lack of playmakers at the quarterback position see them finish in the cellar of the AFC West this upcoming season.
Prediction: Raiders 20 Jets 31
Week 15: Jets at Panthers
Cam Newton shakes out of his sophomore slump and victimizes the Jets as the Panthers make a serious playoff push. Gang Green is unable to keep Newton in the pocket and Carolina cruises past New York.
Prediction: Jets 17 Panthers 34
Week 16: Jets vs Browns
Officially eliminated from playoff contention, the Jets fall to the Browns in an uninspired effort in front of their home crowd. New York misses the playoffs for the third straight year and Rex Ryan’s job is put in serious jeopardy.
Prediction: Jets 13 Browns 27
Week 17: Jets at Dolphins
The 2013 campaign comes to an uneventful end with the Jets finishing the year with just seven wins and on the outside of the playoff picture looking in.
