REVIS ON THE ROAD TO RECOVERY

Darrelle Revis | New York Jets

With the Jets in season slipping out of their grasp, the team received some positive news this week about injured cornerback Darrelle Revis.

When New York Jets star cornerback Darrelle Revis went down with an ACL injury it put a huge damper on their season. Last month Revis had knee surgery and the Jets have not been the same team.

Since the Week 3 overtime win over the Miami Dolphins, the Jets have been in a downward spiral. Gang Green is 1-5 without Revis and the games they have lost were massacres, with the exception of the week seven loss at the hands of the New England Patriots.

The Jets are coming off one of their most painful games of the season, a 28-7 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. New York played the Seahawks tough in the first half and fell behind by one possession going into halftime. But, the Jets did not look ready to play football in the second half and lost 28-7.

Despite the Jets recent struggles, Revis' rehab process is going well.

"This week has been a tough week for the team," Revis told NFL Network. "A team like this, with what's going on this week, a team will fold. The biggest thing for us is to overcome everything that's going on right now through the media, through the losing streak. If we can get a win this week, that would be awesome."

A win against the St. Louis Rams would put the Jets in the right direction. The secondary has been surprisingly good this season, but had a poor performance last week in Seattle. Rams quarterback Sam Bradford is coming off one of his best performances against a tough 49ers defense, and he has his favorite target back, Danny Amendola.

As for Revis, he continues to work on getting back to full strength. Revis will rehab in New Jersey through the Thanksgiving holiday, and head to Arizona soon after that. Revis still has a little bit of swelling in his knee, but it is making great progress.

"I just really do as much as I can being one of the leaders on the team," said Revis. "Right now, I can't really pinpoint what's really wrong because I'm on the outside viewing in. The only thing I can do right now is really suppose these guys as much as I can and just hope they win every week."
