Green and White Report Nick St. Denis takes a look at the matchups to watch during Sunday's Dolphins at Jets Week 7 clash.

When the Dolphins are on offense:

Running back Reggie Bush will do everything in his power to stick it to a Jets team that has been looking to get after him after Bush said Darrelle Revis' season-ending injury was a matter of "karma." Bush got off to a fast start this season but has been mediocre since getting banged up against the Jets in Week 3.

When the Dolphins are on defense:

Miami's defense simply hasn't given up many touchdowns. It has surrendered just three scores on the ground and seven through the air through six games. Miami tends to give up a lot of yards but holds up in the red zone.

A Dolphins strength:

Run defense. The Dolphins are tied with the Patriots in yards-per-carry-against, giving up just 3.3 yards a rush. That makes for an interesting matchup against a New York offense working to re-establish its identity as a ground-and-pound team.

A Dolphins weakness:

Recovering fumbles on defense. Miami has forced 11 fumbles, which ranks sixth-best in the league. But the Dolphins have only recovered two of them, which makes for the NFL's worst fumble-recovery ratio. Turnovers will be critical in this divisional bout.

Matchup to watch:

LaRon Landry vs. Bush. The Jets safety, who was partially responsible for Bush's injury, told the NY Daily News Bush "will remember that hit" every time Bush sees Landry. Landry will look for some big hits on Bush while Bush will try to leave Landry in his tracks.

Final thoughts:Rain and wind will likely make it tough for Mark Sanchez to continue the momentum built from a solid day of throwing in New England last week, so New York will lean on Shonn Greene and the run game against a tough Dolphins defensive front. Still, I think the Jets win by a field goal.
