AROUND THE AFC EAST: WEEK SEVEN EDITION

With every team gridlocked atop the division at 3-3, Green and White Report's Nick St. Denis take a look at where each team stands as we approach Week Seven in the NFL.

New York Jets (3-3)

Last week: Shonn Greene rushed for 161 yards and three touchdowns as the Jets ousted the Indianapolis Colts.

This week: Rex Ryan and the Jets' man-to-man defense travels to Foxboro to take on the NFL's No. 1-ranked offense.

Notable note: New York boasts the third-worst third-down defense and has the fifth-most defensive penalties with 45.

New England Patriots (3-3)

Last week: The Patriots blew a 13-point lead in the fourth quarter losing to the Seahawks in Seattle.

This week: New England's stout run defense faces a Jets rushing attack that is working to regain its identity.

Notable note: The Patriots' defense has recovered a league-best 13 fumbles.

Buffalo Bills (3-3)

Last week: The Bills gutted out an overtime victory in Arizona thanks to two late-game interceptions by Jairus Byrd and a missed field goal by Jay Feely.

This week: Buffalo hosts the so-so Tennessee Titans, who are coming off a victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers but haven't been impressive.

Notable note: The Bills have the worst run defense in the league, giving up 5.8 yards a carry to opposing rushers.

Miami Dolphins (3-3)

Last week: Miami got thrashed on the stat sheet but not on the scoreboard in beating the St. Louis Rams for its second straight win.

This week: The Dolphins get a timely bye.

Notable note: Cameron Wake has 6.5 sacks in the past three games.
